The first ever Friends of the Square Festival, an evening of fun-draising at Main Street Square, is set forThursday, May 25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Festivities include carnival games, a BBQ, beverage garden, prizes and raffles, and a free concert by Kory and the Fireflies with special guest Barrett Hemmings. There is something fun for everyone in the Regional Health and Scull Construction Kidz Zone encompassing Sixth St., with inflatables, the Main Street Square Fun Express train, face painting, games, and more. The Kidz Zone will be expanded during the Friends of the Square Festival to include old fashioned carnival games with prizes, such as a ping-pong toss, duck pond, and a pie throw. The Main Street Square staff will be grilling up your backyard barbeque favorites and an assortment of refreshments will be available in the Bud Light Beverage Garden.
In partnership with Rice Honda, Main Street Square will be selling raffle tickets during their signature events to members of the public for a chance to win their choice of watercraft, motorcycle, or side-by-side UTV. The winner may also apply $10,000 of full retail value to a machine of their choice at Rice Honda. Raffle tickets will be sold at Friends of the Square Festival, all Main Street Square Concert Series on Thursday nights, and other select signature events. Purchase one ticket for $20 and three tickets for $40. There are only two thousand tickets available. The winner will be selected during the final concert of the summer, on Thursday, Aug. 31. One ticket purchaser will be selected every Thursday to receive ten additional ticket entries into the drawing.
The Friends of the Square Festival is sponsored by Black Hills Insurance Agency and US Bank. It is free to attend and open to the public. For more details on the Friends of the Square Festival and Friends of the Square Program, visit
