Join us in celebrating our 37th Anniversary at the KICKSTANDS CAMPGROUND (www.kickstandsllc.com), located 5 minutes from Sturgis at Pleasant Valley exit 37 off of Interstate 90. The campground that has hosted the Bluegrass Festival for several years has been sold and is undergoing an upgrade and facelift. Its new name is KICKSTANDS CAMPGROUND & VENUE (formerly Elkview Campground). New owners are installing cabins to rent as well as a large covered pavillion and stage for concerts.
Bands featured at the festival include CEDAR HILL, a 6 piece bluegrass group from Missouri. The HIGH PLAINS TRADITION from Colorado is celebrating their 30thAnniversary playing bluegrass. RED LETTER EDITION also from Missouri specializes in Gospel Music. A young group from the state of Washington, NORTH COUNTRY BLUEGRASS bring Classic Country and Folk into the bluegrass style. Our local band DEADWOOD EXPRESS will be playing mostly trditional bluegrass and appear on Saturday only. The show goes on RAIN OR SHINE. There will be Workshops hosted by the performers on Saturday morning. The Gospel Music Show on Sunday morning features 3 bands and is by free will offering. Activities include an Arts & Crafts Show and Childrens Activities. Festival t-shirts and performers CD's will be available for sale and food concession will be available throughout the festival. Bring your instruments for jam sessions after the shows. NO PETS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CONCERT AREA.
